Agencies

According to Art. 5 Para. 3 No. 5 of the interstate study accreditation treaty, one of the tasks of the Accreditation Council is to approve Agencies to operate in Germany.

This is done on the basis of the Accreditation Council’s resolution. The Accreditation Council adopted an accreditation procedure for this at its meeting on 20.02.2018. In future, accreditation will be granted permanently on the basis of an Agencies’ registration with the European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR), with the possibility of revocation. The Accreditation Council also adopted a transitional regulation for Agencies already operating in Germany, which clarifies their responsibilities under both the previous and the new law.
