Art. 15 of the Interstate Study Accreditation Treaty states: “The Accreditation system shall be evaluated regularly and within a reasonable period of time, for the first time five years after the entry into force of this State Treaty, on behalf of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs and the German Rectors’ Conference, in particular with regard to the organizational structure and operation of the Foundation as well as other procedural regulations.”
On this basis, an ESG evaluation of the German Accreditation Council was carried out in 2021/2022 and in June 2022 the German Accreditation Council was accepted as a member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education(ENQA) as a result.
