05 May 2022 – The Accreditation Council in dialog – Topic of the day: System accreditation

The third edition of the format “The Accreditation Council in Dialogue”, which took place on 5 May 2022 on the “Topic of the Day: System Accreditation”, once again met with great interest with around 230 participants.

Under the moderation of Prof. em. Charlotte Schubert (University of Leipzig, alternate professorial member of the Accreditation Council), Prof. Dr. Loureda Lamas (University of Heidelberg, member of the Accreditation Council), Prof. Dr. rer.nat. Aloys Krieg (RWTH Aachen), Ms. Anja Grube (ZEvA), Mr. Dominik Kubon (student peer review report), Mr. Franz Börsch (Coordinator System Accreditation at the Head Office of the Accreditation Council) and Ms. Jasmin Usainov (Deputy Coordinator System Accreditation at the Head Office of the Accreditation Council) exchanged views with the participants on specific questions from accreditation practice as well as on topics relating to dealing with diversity and complexity or the innovation potential of system accreditation as a whole.

  • The Accreditation Council in dialogue

    Since 2021, the Accreditation Council has been engaging in mutual exchange with universities through its “Accreditation Council in Dialogue” format. This format aims to address a wide range of topics, all of which are relevant to accreditation.

    Topics covered so far have included:

    – Alternative procedures
    – Cooperation with non-university institutions
    – Diversity of quality management systems – What leeway do universities have?

    – Role and self-image of review panels
    – System accreditation
    – The significance of qualification objectives for accreditation
    – Dual study programs
