As part of its 103rd meeting in Potsdam, the Accreditation Council awarded Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences the “Prize for Quality Development” for its application for reaccreditation of the “Biomedical Technology (B.Eng)” study program at a festive evening event on 3 March 2020. In its decision, the six-member jury particularly highlighted the student-centered teaching and learning, the mandatory practical semester/ semester abroad, the examination period in the semester and the lecturer exchange rounds of the study programme. Prof. Susanne Lengyel, Vice President for Studies and Teaching, and Prof. Dr. Heiko Kopf, Head of Department 1 in Hamm and Head of the Applied Biomedical Engineering degree program at Hamm-Lippstadt University of Applied Sciences, accepted the award, while student jury member Katharina Mahrt gave the laudatory speech.
At its 102nd meeting on November 21 and 22, 2019, the Accreditation Council decided to establish an “Award for Quality Development”. This will be awarded for special achievements in quality development in teaching and studies at the level of programs and QM systems, which can serve as inspiration for other higher education institutions. The Accreditation Council and Board had nominated a total of six applications for reaccreditation. The decision to award the prize was made by a six-member jury, whose members were selected by representatives of the higher education institutions, International Affairs members, the Student Group representative and members of the Professional Practice Group of the Accreditation Council.

“Food Processing“, full-time / part-time (M.Sc.) - Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, reaccreditation of the cluster
“Mechanical Engineering” (B.Eng. / M.Eng.) - Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, reaccreditation of the study program bundle
“Business Chemistry” (B.Sc. / M.Sc.)
