04.3 Who applies for the extension of accreditation and how?

The extension of program accreditations upon application until the decision of the Accreditation Council is made is automatic, i.e. without a separate application.
In all other cases, separate applications for the extension of accreditation deadlines must be submitted online by the higher education institutions in the electronic application processing system ELIAS. If a higher education institution (or the user administrator of the higher education institution) wishes to forward this task to an agency, an employee of the respective agency should be created as a user of the higher education institution in order to enable the application via the agency.
