Accreditation Council responds to the corona crisis
Corona-related restrictions have also affected the accreditation system. The Accreditation Council has responded to this:
Section 28 MRVO is suspended until further notice for emergency decisions by higher education institutions due to the corona crisis, subject to specific regulations of individual federal states.
Higher education institutions have the option of applying for an extraordinary extension of deadlines if inspections cannot take place due to the corona crisis.
System Accreditations can also apply for an extraordinary extension of accreditation due to the corona crisis.

Changes on our homepage since the last newsletter was sent:
New FAQ 14 “Legal Basis”.
New FAQ 01.4 and 01.5 on application documents.
The legal ordinance on the accreditation of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is now available.
The topics of Recognition and Crediting have been included in the new assessment grids. Some FAQs on this topic (FAQ 08 “Recognition and crediting”) have therefore been deleted.
As the transition phase from the old to the new accreditation law has ended, FAQ 5.1 has been amended.
The revised version of the document Introduction to ELIAS FAQ is available on the homepage.
FAQ 09.4 has been changed.
