Further reaction of the Accreditation Council to the corona crisis
The Accreditation Council has adapted its resolutions to the situation caused by the corona crisis:

The option for higher education institutions to apply for an extraordinary extension of the deadline now also applies to study programs/accredited QM systems whose accreditation expires on 30 September 2021. The application does not have to be justified by the cancellation of the inspection, but all corona-related circumstances that lead to a delay in the timetable apply.
The suspension of § 28 MRVO or section 3.6.3 under the old law (essential changes, resolution of 27 March 2020) is limited until 31 March 2021.

New FAQ 16 “Criteria for accreditation”
FAQ 04.3 has been clarified: An application for an extension of the accreditation period is usually submitted by the higher education institution.
We provide information on the retroactive pronouncement of the accreditation decision even if the application is not submitted “on time” and on the receipt of the decision: Additions to FAQ 01.1.1.
