Accreditation Council celebrates its 25th anniversary
The Accreditation Council was founded 25 years ago by the 16 Federal States and the German Rectors’ Conference. It held its first meeting in Würzburg on 07.07.1999. The Accreditation system for quality development and assurance at higher education institutions has come a long way since then. The Accreditation Council is firmly anchored and established in the German academic system and the European Higher Education Area.

122nd meeting of the Accreditation Council
On September 25/26, 2024, the Accreditation Council met for its
122nd meeting in Münster. Meeting in Münster.
It decided in favor of the Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences’ application for approval to carry out Alternative Procedures.
Furthermore, the Accreditation Council decided on 218 applications that were
204 Programme Accreditations with 479 study programmes and
14 System Accreditations.

On November 14, 2024 from 10:00-12:00 the seventh edition of the format “Accreditation Council in Dialogue” on the “Topic of the Day: Alternative Procedures” will take place in online format.

The German Accreditation Council is recruiting
The German Accreditation Council is looking for immediate reinforcement at consultant level. The position is located in the Types of Procedures “Alternative Procedures” and “Programme Accreditation”, is open-ended and remunerated up to TV-L 14.
