Newsletter No. 7/21 – September 2021

Dear Mrs. ,

Today you are receiving the 13th Newsletter of the German Accreditation Council.

110. 110th meeting of the Accreditation Council
On 21 September 2021, the Accreditation Council convened for its 110th meeting – once again virtually. The Accreditation Council discussed

146 applications for program accreditation, comprising 286 study programmes, and
5 applications for system accreditation were decided.
Furthermore, the Accreditation Council decided to limit the suspension of the obligation to notify significant changes due to the pandemic, which was decided in March 2020, until 01 October 2022. Until then, the universities could decide, based on experience, which emergency regulations, especially in the area of digitalization, they would like to maintain or terminate.
The content of the significant change will be reviewed as part of the reaccreditation of the respective study programmes, but by the end of 2024 at the latest.
