Georg Reschauer

Georg Reschauer (1957) has been Managing Director of AHPGS Akkreditierung gGmbH in Freiburg since its foundation in 2008. Since the founding of the Accreditation Agency for Study Programs in Health and Social Sciences – AHPGS e.V. (2001), he has been the head of the office.

Georg Reschauer studied sociology, scientific politics and modern German literary history at the University of Freiburg. From 1985 to 2000, he worked on various projects in the Department of Medical Sociology at the University of Freiburg. From 1992, he was deputy head of the German Coordination Center for Health Sciences – DKGW, which was funded by the Stifterverband für die Deutsche Wissenschaft.

Since 1987, he has been involved in the organization of the Freiburg Symposia ‘Occupational Medicine in the Health Service’ of the Freiburg Research Centre for Occupational Medicine in the Health Service – FFAS; since 1992, he has been a member of the editorial board of Public Health FORUM published by de Gruyter. From 2014 until the end of the project phase, Georg Reschauer was on the expert advisory board of the Robert Bosch Stiftung’s funding program “Operation Team – Interprofessional Learning in the Health Professions” and has been repeatedly appointed to the expert committee on social professions and civic engagement of the German Association for Public and Private Welfare (dv).
