Dr. Gisa Austermühle (1968) studied law in Freiburg i. Br. and in Geneva. She then worked as a research assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law. She completed her legal clerkship and second state examination in Dresden. She then worked as a research assistant at the Technical University of Dresden and completed her doctorate on a legal history topic. She has been employed by the state of Saxony-Anhalt since 1999 and has been a consultant in the Department of University Medicine, University Law and University Legislation of the former Ministry of Science and Economics of Saxony-Anhalt since 2011, which has been part of the Ministry of Science, Energy, Climate Protection and Environment of Saxony-Anhalt since 2021. Since 2017, she has also been responsible for quality assurance and accreditation matters.
