Ph.D. Katharina Höhn is Managing Director of the German Insurance Industry Education Association (BWV e.V.) and Managing Director of the German Insurance Academy (DVA) Ltd. After completing a commercial apprenticeship in a department store group, she studied business education at Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz. She then worked at the Chair of Business Education on a third-party funded project in the insurance industry and completed her doctorate in 2001 on structural and process innovations in pedagogical fields of action.
Katharina Höhn represents the educational interests of the insurance industry in industry and education policy committees. Her aim is to use the activities of BWV and DVA to contribute to the maintenance and expansion of high-quality educational structures, to more skills development and thus to the reputation of the insurance industry. At European level, she is involved in the board of eficert e.V., the organization of educational institutions in the insurance industry in Europe. She is involved in cross-industry education committees of the Confederation of German Employers’ Associations (BDA), the Wuppertaler Kreis e.V. and the vbw – Bavarian Industry Association. Katharina Höhn has worked as an expert for the FIBAA and AQAS agencies.
