Prof. Dr. Dr. Oliver Müller

Prof. Dr. Dr. Oliver Müller studied biochemistry in Tübingen and human medicine in Bochum. He completed his doctorate in natural sciences at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg in 1992. He then worked for a biotech company in the USA. From 1994, he was a research group leader at the Max Planck Institute in Dortmund. In 1998, he habilitated in biochemistry at the University of Bochum, where he also completed his medical doctorate. He has been Professor of Applied Biosciences and Medical Sciences at Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences since 2008. From 2012 to 2015, Müller was Dean of the Department of Computer Science and Microsystems Engineering at Kaiserslautern University of Applied Sciences. He is the author of over 100 specialist publications and several textbooks in the field of molecular cancer research. For many years, Professor Müller was involved in the accreditation of numerous scientific and medical degree programs in Germany and abroad as a member of the expert committee and the accreditation commission as well as an expert for various agencies.
